The lip-lock scene of the lead pair in Mani Ratnam's upcoming venture Kadali has stirred a fresh controversy.
Actor-cum-Director Parthiban raised objections to the love-making sequence in the theatrical trailer as Thulasi is a minor (just 16-years-old). In a recent interview, the actor felt sad that a director of Mani Ratnam's stature has filmed such a sequence involving a minor. He even opined that scenes like that will disturb the minds of children and sends a wrong message to the society.
However, veteran actress and Thulasi's mother defended the lip-lock sequence by saying there is nothing wrong in doing so, if it's an integral part of a script.
People who has known Mani Ratnam as a director stresses the point that he never compromises on the creative aspects of his films and the lip-lock scene willn't be chopped from the film at any cost.
