Hyderabad to be WiFi enabled by December

The operation of making Hyderabad a 4G Wi-Fi enabled might by completed by December this year. Reliance Group is already working on this project with Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao and a review meeting was held recently. A road map for enabling Hyderabad 4G Wi-Fi has been discussed in this crucial meeting.

As per the reports, Reliance Group promised to TRS Government that the western part of Hyderabad will be enabled 4G Wi-Fi by September 2014. The services will be expanded to rest of the city by December.

Notably, Reliance has been investing Rs 4,100 crore for this project which requires 1,700 km optical fibre cable network. Until now, Around 500 km of the cabling has a been completed.

The 4G Wi-Fi services would be completely free for the first 6 months. In the 2nd phase, Even Warangal would be made a Wi-Fi enabled city
