Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt who was lodged in Pune's Yerwada Jail is all set to be part of a cultural performance that will be done in Marathi. This public event which is scheduled for the Ganapati festival is intended to highlight the traditions and culture of Maharashtra.
Although the jail officials confirmed the participation of the actor, they were yet to reveal the role he is going to essay. Sanjay will be acting with his fellow inmates and few of the prisoners from women's jail too would be participating in the programme.
Supreme Court sentenced Sanjay Dutt to five year imprisonment after he was convicted in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He completed 18 months of jail term long back and now all set to finish the remaining three-and-a-half years sentence. His next release will be 'Zanjeer' remake in which he plays the iconic role of Sher Khan.
