As the proposal of Rayala-Telangana is being considered by the Congress High Command, discussions have already began regarding the chief minister of Rayala-Andhra.
Rayala-Telangana: Two Districts of Rayalseema (Anantapur, Kurnool) will be merged with 10 districts of Telangana and Two Districts (Chittor, Kadapa) will be merged with Andhra Region.
Congress leadership is of the opinion to make Chiranjeevi the CM of Rayala-Andhra to attract the considerable Kapu vote bank in Andhra region as the Reddy Community has already taken Jagan's side post the launch of YSR Congress party. Even PCC Botsa Satyanarayana and Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari are in the race for chief minister post in Rayala-Andhra.
Decision on Telangana will be announced soon if the Parliament elections happen in November this year, else the formation of statehood would be delayed for few more months if the polls happen in mid-2014.
