Mobile signals save techie from rape in Hyderabad

In a shocking incident, a miscreant allegedly tried to rape a techie woman by entering her car when she was visiting a temple on Friday in Hyderabad. But the techie's smart thinking saved her from being raped

According to report the victim has been working as a software engineer and resides in Himayat Sagar.She went to a temple at Khajaguda in Hyderabad on Friday morning and  forgot  to lock the car doors .When she came back after the darshan and got into the car, already a youth was sitting on the back seat of the car. She tried closing the door, but he threatened her with a knife and forced her inside the car. She had no other option than getting into the car.

Threatening her with the knife, the man forced her to drive through Outer Ring Road. While driving on Gachibowli-Shamshabad highway, he moved to the front seat, and tried to rape her. Instead of panicking, she immediately messaged her friend.

Her friend in turn alerted the police control room and in turn they alerted the patrolling vehicles. The victim kept her phone on.Based on the mobile signals, the route followed by the car could have been traced by the police

Police rushed to the spot immediately, and caught the accused. He was taken to the police station, and then to an undisclosed place for further interrogations. A case has been filed against him, and investigations have started. It is not known as of now whether the accused is known to the victim or not.
