For the first time ever, Voters will be permitted to excercise the 'None Of The Above' (NOTA) option in General Elections 2014.
Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath while announcing the elections schedule on Wednesday made it clear Polls 2014 will be held using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) which consists of NOTA Option as well.
In Fact, NOTA Option was first made available during the Assembly polls in 5 states last year. This move gives an opportunity for the voters to reject all the candidates who were contesting in the polls. Hence, Parties has been fearing such a chance to the electorate will ruin their winning possibilities in several constituencies.
