Overwhelming response to the casting call issued for Rajamouli-Prabhas's upcoming flick Bahubali has forced the makers to put an end to the applications process abruptly. The production team have received over 12,000 mails which include personal information, photos and video clips of the aspirants.

"We are putting a hold to the casting call as there are more than 12,000 mails to be looked through. If I don't find actors suitable for roles in Bahubali, we might start the process again. Only the selected actors will be notified and called for auditions. Some people should realize that this is NOT a competition. The selection is entirely up to our discretion," confirms Rajamouli.

The response for the casting call indicates Rajamouli's brand value and the craze for the Rs 70 crore tri-lingual (Telugu, Tamil & Hindi). Rajamouli has got the reputation of giving stardom to artists who worked with him. So, every budding actor wants to give it a chance. Of course, talent and a bit of luck is a must to fall in the eyes of most successful T-town filmmaker.
