AAP government a nightmare: Jaitley

Terming the AAP government in Delhi a "nightmare", BJP leader Arun Jaitley Tuesday said that if Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal describes himself as an "anarchist", he should not continue in the office even for a day.

"It has been a bitter experience. The AAP experience in Delhi has been a nightmare," the Bharatiya Janata Party leader told Times Now news channel following the party's protest in central Delhi over its demand for action against five police officials.

Jaitley, who heads the opposition in the Rajya Sabha, said the AAP government had no vision and, therefore, there was an "anarchic situation".

He said Delhi needs a government which focuses on improving its infrastructure.

Asked about the Congress support to the AAP government, he said the Congress does not want to face the electorate again.

"Congress is scared. That is reason why Congress is unwilling to withdraw support despite this crisis and the consequence is that people of Delhi are paying the price."

Jaitley alleged that the AAP members had no long-term stake in the system and were a threat to the rule of law by the way they were behaving.

"They have created instability, uncertainty in the town. And if this were to continue for some more time, God help all of us," he said.
