Bollywood giant production house YRF banner first Telugu/Tamil  Bilingual film “Aaha Kalyanam” released on Friday failed to show its mark on Box office.

The opening day box office collections of the Nani-Vani starrer were average at Rs.2.5 crore, say initial reports. It has been released on quite large number of theaters in southern India yet it is not enjoying it as much it was expected. The movie failed to impress audience of Tollywood and Kollywood.

In Tamil Nadu the movie fared poor at the box office on its first day. In Chennai, the movie has grossed Rs. 32 lakhs and in the entire state, the collections amounted to Rs. 96 lakhs.

In Andhra Pradesh, the movie fared poor at the box office on its first day. The movie has collected a share of around 1.2+ crore on its first day.

“Aaha Kalyanam”, the southern remake of Hindi entertainer “Band Baaja Baaraat”, is a faithful attempt by debutant director A. Gokul Krishna. But the biggest problem with it is that it’s a frame-to-frame copy of the original and that too sans creativity.
