There have been speculations doing the rounds that actress Amala Paul is all set to tie the knot with director Vijay of "Thalaivaa" fame. Buzz is that Amala and Vijay will be marrying on 12 June 2014 at a famous wedding hall in Chennai and the actress mother confirmed the same.
Amala Paul's mother Annice Paul in today's interview to a popular weekly magazine has confirmed the rumors and said that the engagement will take place in Cochin while the marriage will happen in Chennai.
Annice revealed that she came to know about Vijay's-Amala relationship just 4 months back when Amala was on the phone all the time .When asked if they opposed the love in the beginning, Amala Mother said ‘’No, not at all, we just felt Amala was still very young that's all’’. She concluded saying Amala & Vijay have decided to get married once they complete their current movie commitments.
Rumors about the close ties between Vijay and Amala have been doing the rounds for some time. However, both of them had maintained silence about it. Fans of Amala and Vijay will now be eagerly waiting to get an official announcement from them. In the past, Amala has worked in two of Vijay's films - "Deiva Thirumagal" and "Thalaivaa." On the other hand, director Vijay is busy with the post-production work of "Saivam."
