Heroine turned Director Sripriya is on cloud nine with success of Venkatesh starrer Drishyam."Drishyam", an eponymous remake of a Malayalam blockbuster, has struck gold at the box-office and has left the veteran actress extremely delighted.
Sripriya earning huge applause from all corners of south India and many prominent celebs like Dasari Narayana Rao, Jayasudha, Radhika felicitated Sripriya for making such a thrilling film.
"I'm very happy with the response to the film. More than for commercial reasons, I'm delighted that the audiences connected with the film on an emotional level. It has given more confidence to continue making films," Sripriya said.
She also went on revealing an interesting fact about the film.Sripriya revealed that few key sequences of Drishyam were actually directed by original Malayalam version director Jeethu Joseph who is expertise in dealing sensitive sequences.
Sripriya stated, “I must thank director Jeethu Joseph for wielding mega phone for climax, and few other crucial scenes of Drishyam Telugu.I'm happy that audiences are still hungry for good content and this success has reinforced my faith in good storytelling”
Drishyam is steady at box office in its 4th week. The family thriller was made on a moderate budget and released July 11, minted over Rs. 15 crore in the opening two weeks at the ticket window. The movie is expected to rake around Rs 20-22 crore for full run."Drishyam" is now getting remade in Tamil with Kamal Haasan.
