“I used to gaze at women wearing traditional sarees in Tamilnadu with awe while going to temples. I’ve that desire to get draped in a pattu saree and visit a temple”, says Amy Jackson, the Miss Liverpool winner who has come all the way to India to act in films. After starring in Shankar’s “I”, she is now party of Udayanidhi Stalin and Vikram’s upcoming films, while Danush too signed her as heroine.
Being a foreigner hasn’t deterred Amy from loving Indian culture as she says, “I’m learning Tamil now to be able to speak fluently in the language, not just for movies sake but to convere in real life”. Talking about that Saree, she further adds, “Saree is the safest outfit for women I guess. I love it. But don't ask me if I will become a Tamil daughter-in-law one day for the sake of it”, she concluded.
