Election Commissioner Brahma revealed application for registering 'Jana Sena Party' has been received two days ago. He, however, makes it clear registering a political party in such a short time is not possible.
EC Brahma: "Yes, We received an application on March 10th for registering 'Jana Sena Party' with Pawan Kalyan as its President. As per the procedure, it takes 6-7 months to register a political party. There is hardly 2 Months for the General Elections, So registering the party in such a short period is very difficult".
The Election Commissioner made it clear Pawan Kalyan and his candidates can't contest on 'Jana Sena Party' without registration. He even warned, officially announcing the party name without registration might land the actor-turned-politician in trouble as other parties might raise objection and lodge complaint with EC.
