The CONTENT
Nitin (Nitin) is a go happy guy with happy set of parents and sister. He encounters Nandini (Mishti), a beautiful girl, and falls for her in the first frame itself. He tries to woo her in all possible ways and in the mean time Reddy (Nasar) is impressed by Nitin’s bravery. Nandini befriends Nitin to get a rented flat in Reddy’s house, only to escape to Europe along with Reddy. Why Reddy did go to Europe with Nandini? What happens when Nitin travels to Europe to find Nandini? They fall the rest of story.
The EFFORT :
On-Screen:
Nitin showcases his decent comedy timing yet again. His dances are toned and impressive, while his fights are also good. But he looks regular if we take a look at his last three films. Except for Heart Attack, Nitin is pretty same like in his earlier films as we don’t see any new modulation, body language or improvisation in his on-screen characterization.
Newly introduced heroine Mishti Chakravarthy is beautiful, but she lacks performance. Though she tried her best to show her peppiness, often it looks forced and expressions sound artificial. She matches Nitya Menon in beauty, but lacks that punch.
Naasar has a regular role, while Ali is wasted in a simple role that failed to deliver maximum laughs. Other actors including Madhu Kiran, Naresh, Sitara and the one only Powerstar Pawan Kalyan did their part.
Off-Screen:
Director Karunakaran has extracted good performances from all, but has chosen another wafer thin regular script. This time, he has completely given it for Nitin’s comedy and dances in songs, but hasn’t induced his trademark intense love-chemistry which we expect. Though the dish he cooked has all ingredients, somehow it boomeranged while last bite.
Cinematographer Andrew’s visuals are fantastic in the lines of his previous films. He tried his best to pull rich visuals from Ramoji Film City, Spain and Switzerland (title song). Music director Anup Rubens has delivered good background score, but it should have been better. His songs though average to hear, have stood tall in the way Karunakaran filmed them. Title song is very impressive. Rest of the crew has done their part.

BREAKDOWN:
Karunakaran has of late churning same stories again and again with mixed commercial elements. This time he has similar setup, but the first half is in India and second half is in Europe. As we expect, the story has simple comedy, beautiful visuals and nice moments, but no dashing script to support the whole setup.
Chinnadaana Nee Kosam is no tribute to Pawan Kalyan as promoted by Nitin but his references are used in the film to make audiences clap and whistle. As movie kick-starts, Nitin and heroine Mishti are introduced without wasting time. Some regular twists, turns, comedy, romance and wooing takes place like in trademark Karunakaran style. By the time first half ends, we feel happy for the light hearted comedy but back in mind we think about the much needed story for the film. Losing pace and groove, second half falls in comedy trap with Ali playing the role of Brahmi for this film. And the gay-comedy will excite for a while, but then film has forced scenes to create love in the heart of heroine and boredom in the minds of audiences. As usual a routine climax ends the movie, ending our popcorn in the hand.
Actually Karunkaran might have thought of explaining the importance of parents re-connecting with their children who got run away from home to marry their cupids, but he focused on the message only in last 14 minutes. Rest of the time, he took advantage of Nitin-Mishti’s love story to get us into the groove. Shades of his previous flicks like Darling, Ullasamga Utsahamga and Endukante Premanta could be felt all over in this light hearted comedy film. Movie’s run at box office depends on how people connect to this otherwise average flick.
