Director Sekhar Kammula is always known for making family oriented realistic films that carry all that middle-class pride and youthful joy with awesomeness. Films like Happy Days, Godavari, Anand and Life is Beautiful are classic examples of his work. Still Sekhar Kammula believes that he is not doing much.
“I’m not able to break stereotypes with my movies. Though they look like art-flicks, actually they are commercial movies with routine formula upon which i’ve sugar coated an artistic look”, said Sekhar Kammula, while praising his assistant director’s debut flick. Sekhar’s assistant Nag Ashwin made his debut with Nani’s “Yevade Subramanyam” whose central theme focuses on journey of self-discovery.
