A serious discussion took place between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and TDP MLA Revanth Reddy regarding the power crisis in the state.

KCR replied: "Telangana government purchased 4,889 million units of power at the cost of 2,572 crore. That means on an average 5 rupee 26 paise per unit. All these are official figures. Why Opposition Parties have been making a big fuss of power crisis as if there is no such situation during TDP and Congress rule? We don't have Alladin Magic Lamp to create what wasn't achieved in the past 57 years within 5 months".

It was then Revanth Reddy demanded apology from KCR in the house had if he fails to bring 15,000 MW of power within 3 years to ensure 24 hours power supply. In response, KCR pledged to fulfill his promise of ensure non-stop power supply by the time TRS Government completes 3 years rule.
