Telangana Government directed District Collectors to identify vacant government lands in their respective districts and maintain inventory so that it could go for auction.
The inventory include details like vacant Government land available, Government land in litigation, Government land free of legal issues, Government land which is suitable for public purposes and Government Prime land which can be auctioned post categorizing into commercial and residential purposes.
In the video conference chaired by Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, District Collectors were asked to take photographs of the Government lands in their districts and also mention their market value in the reports.
KCR is keen on constructing buildings in around 5 acres for bring all the Government Officers at mandal, divisional and district headquarters under one roof. The vacated Government offices will be put on auction later.
