TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu is going to play the kingmaker role at the centre by leading the Third Front. If the reports are to be believed, Babu is likely to contest as MP from Malkajgiri constituency in Telangana during the next general elections. Party senior leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao commenting that Naidu would prefer Parliament seat if state was divided has given strength to these reports.
On the other hand, Chandrababu is likely to give the responsibility of leading the party in Seemaandhra region to Nandamuri Balakrishna who will be entering electoral politics in 2014 polls. The TDP Chief is of the opinion that Balayya's entry will boost the morale of party cadre in the Seemandhra region and a wave in favour of TDP would take birth. Party ranks were already in an upbeat mode after the positive results in the Panchayat polls
Political observes say, Naidu has shifted his focus to National politics as surveys have suggested that regional parties would be playing key role in the formation of next government. He is eyeing the Prime Minister post this time and so Balayya will be made the chief minister candidate of TDP for the newly formed Andhra Pradesh state.
