Naidu offers Rajya Sabha seat to BJP

TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday informed the party MPs who met him at NTR Bhavan that the Rajya Sabha seat which fell vacant due to the demise of Nedurumalli Janardhan Reddy of Congress will be offered to the alliance partner BJP.

Naidu revealed there was a request from BJP's National leadership to allot the vacant Rajya Sabha seat and TDP has no other option but to oblige it in the best interest of development in Seemandhra.

TDP Sources say, Chandrababu Naidu might give the Rajya Sabha seat to Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman (Commerce and Industry) who hails from Andhra Pradesh.

Just like Modi, Naidu asked TDP MPs to prepare an action plan for development in their constituencies and focus on allocation of funds from Centre on priority based. Other issues like National party status for TDP, Power Deficit, Price Rise of Essential Commodities and Co-ordination with NDA Government for bring more funds have been discussed.
