Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced AP Government is considering the option of distribution 'iPads' to all households in the state. He declared this move would cost the state exchequer Rs 3,000 crore.
Naidu informed State Government is already holding talks with telecom service providers Airtel, Reliance and BSNL to offer 4G Serives to these 'iPads'. He opined even students could reduce their books load if used the 'iPads' effectively.
The TDP Chief reiterated a decision to waive loan upto Rs 1.5 lakh per family has been taken although the state government had a deficit budget of Rs 16,000 crore. He added, "Farm Loan Waiver would clear 100 percent of loans for 96% of people. Remaining 4% of people will benefit 1.5 lakhs". He also stated drip irrigation would be given importance apart from promoting horticulture.
