Just day after beheading of Salford taxi driver Alan Henning by ISIS, the questions are up who’s the next in the list of ISIS. But parents of Edward Kassig are pleading with his captors to free him. they urged in a video statement Saturday that their son has devoted his life to humanitarian work and aiding Syria's war refugees.
Edward Kassig founded a nongovernmental organization that provided aid for refugees fleeing from neighboring Syria due to civil war. But he extended his services to Lebenon led to his capture by militants on Oct. 1, 2013, while en route to eastern Syria. The video was a heartbreaking development for Kassig's family and friends, who had stayed silent since his capture while working to secure his release.
Paula Kassig mother of Edward, sits next to her husband on a couch in the couple's three-minute video, wearing a head scarf and holding a photo of her son as she speaks directly to him. She pleaded ISIS to leave his son safe on humanitarian grounds.
