Satyam Ramalinga Raju granted bail

Hyderabad's Metropolitan Sessions Court on Monday granted bail to Satyam Computers founder B Ramalinga Rau, his brother B Rama Raju and 8 other convicts of the multi-crore accounting fraud case.

The Court directed B Ramalinga Rau and B Rama Raju to pay Rs 1 lakh in Personal Bond. The Other accused were asked to pay Rs 50,000 each.

On April 9th this year, CBI Special Court declared 10 accused in Satyam Case as convicts and sentenced them to 7 years in prison apart from imposing a hefty fine on each of them. Satyam Raju and Other Accused filed a petition in Nampally court seeking suspension of the sentence and revocation of the fines imposed on them.

10 Accused in Satyam Fraud Case: Satyam Founder-Chairman B Ramalinga Raju, his brother and Satyam's former MD B Rama Raju, former chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas, former PwC auditors Subramani Gopalakrishnan and T Srinivas, Satyam's former internal chief auditor VS Prabhakar Gupta, Raju's another brother B Suryanarayana Raju, former employees G Ramakrishna, D Venkatpathi Raju and Ch Srisailam.
