Minneapolis, Feb 22: Minnesota Area Telangana NRI’s celebrated the Telangana state formation with much enthusiasm and joy. This event is hosted in Cliffs of Minnetonka club house with many Telangana people in attendance. The evening started with lighting the candle for many martyrs who lost their lives for Telangana. Ravi Sagi, president, Minnesota Area Telangana association, vice president Sudhakar Japa and board members Nirajan Allamaneni, Mahendar Ginuga, Ramesh Ravva, Rajashekar Bachigari, Ramesh Komakula , Pavan Koyada, Rakesh Kamjula , Mahi Nagendar and others lighted the candles and paid respects to Telangana amara veerulu and late Prof. Jayashanker for their sacrifices for Telangana cause.
Speaking on the occasion Ravi Sagi congratulated Telangana people. He also stressed the need for NRI’s involvement in Telangana development and urged all Minnesota NRIs to take up some activities back home to help in any way they can make a difference. Ramesh Ravva, Mahi Nagendar, Niranjan Allamneni, Mahender Ginuga, Pavan Koyada, Prem Errabelli also congratulated Telangana people and Thanked Government of India on this occasion. Some of the NRI’s who actively participated in Telangana movement back home shared their experiences about the agitations they participated in and the struggles they faced during their time at Osmania University.
NRIs senior citizens cut the 'Telangana celebrations in Minnesota cake' and shared all and enjoyed.
Minnesota Area Telangana association (MATA) announced their upcoming activities Indoor Volley Ball Tournament and Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam in Minneapolis. MATA is also serving people back home with their free note book distribution and scholarship program for academically bright but poor students.
