The special CBI court in Nampally granted bail to YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Monday.
CBI took Jagan into custody on May 27th last year on grounds of alleged quid-pro-quo deals during former chief minister late YSR's tenure as chief minister. The young leader was lodged in Chanchalguda Central Prison since the past 16 months in connection with the illegal assets case. CBI has filed 10 charge sheets regarding the assets case.
On May 9th this year, Supereme Court said Jagan could apply for bail after the CBI files the final chargesheet in the case. As the investigation agency informed to the court that the investigation has come to an end, all the hurdles for Yuva Neta's bail got cleared.
