For starters, “Birdman” is a Hollywood movie that won Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Cinematography. However many fans of English movies felt that the flick is slightly overrated than other competitors in the game.
“Birdman was overrated. I liked Grand Budapest Hotel, Whiplash, Theory of Everything, Imitation Game & Gone Girl much much more than Birdman”, said Rakul Preet, in accord with the similar opinion shared by many other film critics. However, 87th Academy Awards saw “Birdman” and “The Grand Budapest Hotel” winning four awards each.
