Its known that Former Satyam Computers CEO and Chairman Ramalinga Raju was convicted in several crores Satyam scam case and he is currently serving his sentence at Charlapally Central Jail.
As per the reports Raju caught red handed using a cell phone and two SIM cards. According to sources the authorities of Cherlapally Central Prison have recovered cell phone and two SIM cards from the former CEO of satyam.This startling revelation came to light during a surprise check by top prison officials two days ago.
Ramalinga Raju is serving a sentence of seven years jail term in Satyam fraud. Raju got caught with these banned items in the routine checks of the jail authorities. The mobile was seized by authorities and an investigation was launched to figure out who has smuggled the phone for him. The authorities have increased the surveillance on the inmates from whose possession they seized the cell phones and SIM cards.
However, this is not the first time that allegations of illegal activities, especially usage of mobile phones and prisoners enjoying banned facilities at the Cherlapally jail, have surfaced. Earlier also we have heard many instances like this. Cherlapally prison houses several high-profile and notorious prisoners, including terror suspects and ISI agents.
