Irrespective of Telugudesam’s heavy promotion and Naidu’s recent Paada Yaatra, the party failed to give tough competition to YSR-Congress in Coastal Andhra. Howevver, Naidu is quick to cover things and divert attention of people with his own analyses and comments.
Repeatedly, Chandrbabu Naidu asserted that Congress party has intentionally delayed the Panchayat elections in the name of lack of funds. But actually, these elections are prolonged for almost two years as a petition related to lowering the percentage of backward contestants standing in the elections is pending for Supreme Court’s decision. Only after SC gave a clearance that EC should allow 62% reservations in Panchayat elections as earlier and ordered AP to go with elections, the process of conducting Panchayat polls started. Without having any clue about this happening, TDP president today blindly stated that Congress and YSR-C joined hands to delay these polls.
At a time when many surveys, including the recent CSDS Survey for CNN-IBN and The Hindu, revealing that Jagan is most sought after person to lead this state, Naidu’s inaccurate and falsified statements may prove futile for TDP’s future.
