TDP registers a landslide victory in Seemandhra municipal polls on Monday. While TDP won in 64 municipalities, YSRCP barely managed to win in 19 municipalities. Except for Chittoor and Kadapa, Telugu Desam Party is well ahead of YSR Congress in the remaining 11 districts of Seema Andhra. TDP had won five of the total seven municipal corporations while YSRCP managed to win in Nellore and Kadapa.
The results of Municipalities give sigh of relief to TDP chief Chandrababu who was struggling for power from past decade.Chandra Babu termed this victory as historical and attributed the success to the people of Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said people joined forces to out-throw incumbent Congress and Corrupt YSR Congress.
Chandra Babu thanked party workers for their extensive hard work behind this thumping majority. Naidu said that people of Andhra Pradesh preferred development, trust-worthy leadership over corrupt parties.Chandra Babu also spoke about Telangana results .He said that TDP will play significant role in Telangana in days to come.Babu also took his twitter handle to express his view on municipal results
