Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Raghuveera Reddy and Party's Campaign Committee chairman Chiranjeevi has received summons from High Command asking them to attend a review meeting in New Delhi on June 2nd.
Both Chiru and Raghuveera Reddy would be meeting AICC Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Party's Vice President Rahul Gandhi for discussing what went wrong in the recent general elections. They would be preparing an action plan to revive the party's fortunes in Seemandhra region.
Apparently, Congress didn't win a single Assembly or Lok Sabha seat in Seemandhra. Even the party candidates lost deposits in 160 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha segments. This is worst ever performance of the National party in the region.
Congress won 21 Lok Sabha seats in Seemandhra alone in 2009 Polls. This time the count reached ZERO. More than the anti-incumbancy, It's the way Congress dealt a sensitive issue like Bifurcation has played a spoilsport.
