Tamilnadu former CM Jayalalithaa was sentenced to four years in jail and imposed a fine of ₹100 crore on 27 September in a case related to disproportionate assets. Even High court refused to grant bail put Jayalalitha hopes into vain.
Till now the case is handled by senior advocate Ram Jetmalani. As per sources its confirmed that Jaya is not satisfied over his arguments in court. Ram Jethmalani, Jayalalithaa's lawyer in this case had sought immediate bail for her on health grounds that she has diabetes, low blood pressure and acute back pain. But court had rejected the plea of Jaya. After Karnataka High Court's disappointing judgment for Jayalalithaa, she is likely to move the Supreme Court. Now Jayalalitha looking for another senior advocate Harish Salve who represented Jayalalithaa in 2011 asking exemption for her from personal appearance in Bangalore court. Tamilnadu officials who handling Jaya case are already in primary discussion with Salve. Lets see at least Salve will get a bail for Jaya or not.
