As the early trends indicate there is every possibility of Hung Assembly in Maharashtra, Both BJP and Shiv Sena have decided to put their differences aside to form the government. While BJP Leaders were holding talks with Shiv Sena & NCP, Shiv Sena on the other hand expressed the wish to support BJP.
Shiv Sena chief Uddav Thackarey declares: "Trends show there was no wave. Shiv Sena will support party which talks about development and works for the betterment of the state. All options are open to me.".
Even Shiv Sena MP Anil Desai commented war between BJP & his party was restricted to electoral battle and its over now. He also told statements by leaders of both the parties in the past few hours is an indication that they are willing to move on leaving the bitterness behind.
The 25-Year-Old alliance between BJP and Shiv Sena has been broken as the seat sharing talks failed. While Shiv Sena demanded 150 seats for itself, BJP turned down the offer citing the Modi wave. Political analysts say, BJP got benefitted in a big way by contesting separately and the results show there is Modi wave in Maharashtra.
