First Double Century in World Cup scored!

West Indies opener Chris Gayle became the first cricketer to score a double century in World Cup history. He achieved this feat in Today's league match against Zimbabwe.

Gayle is also the first non-Indian batsman to score a double ton in ODIs. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma were the only cricketers who were in this elite club till date.

Chris Gayle scored Double Century in 138 balls surpassing Sehwag's record of fastest 200. He perished at a score of 215 (16 sixes and 10 fours) in 147 balls.

West Indies put a total of 372/2 by the end of 50 Years batting first.
