Gurunath Meiyappan & Raj Kundra involved in Betting: SC

The Supreme Court on Thursday said former BCCI President N Srinivasan's Son-in-Law Gurunath Meiyappan and Rajasthan Royals franchise co-owner Raj Kundra were involved in betting. The case was related to 2013 Indian Premier League match-fixing and betting scandal.  

Apex Court also ruled BCCI is amenable to Article 226 of Judicial Law and its functions are Public Functions. The SC Bench has read out a 130-page judgment in the IPL scandal case.

The Supreme Court constituted a 3-member committee headed by former High Court judge Mukul Mudgal to conduct an independent inquiry into the allegations of corruption in IPL. As both Gurunath and Raj Kundra were found guilty of betting, Its to be seen what action does BCCI takes against these two high-profile people.
