I am not in race for CM post: Chiranjeevi

Update: 2014-02-26 16:46 GMT
Since few days, Media has been reporting that Chiranjeevi is likely to replace Kiran Kumar Reddy as chief minister of AP. The reports went on to say, High Command is keen on declaring Megastar as CM for the Kapu vote bank in the Seemandhra region.

However, Chiranjeevi condemns these speculations and makes it clear he isn't lobbying to become the last chief minister of AP.

Speaking to media soon after his  arrival from Delhi, Chiru told, "I am not in race for CM post. Its the media which has been creating unnecessary hype. Congress leadership is yet to take a decision on CM post".

As per the latest update, Sonia Gandhi has picked up Chiranjeevi as the  new CM of the state. However, the actor-turned-politician softly turned down the top post citing the possible anguish against the Congress CM from Seemandhra people. At the moment, High Command is trying to convince Chiru to take up the responsibility as elections are just couple of months away.
