Film star Pawan Kalyan's newly floated political outfit Jana Sena Party has finally attained recognised party status.

The Election Commission of India has registered Jana Sena Party as a political party under section 29A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Pawan Kalyan launched Jana Sena Party just before 2014 General Elections waging a war against ruling Congress in Centre and State. Later, He extended support to Narendra Modi led BJP at Centre and Chandrababu Naidu led TDP in AP & Telangana during the polls.

Post Elections, Jana Sena Party isn't active as Pawan Kalyan got busy with his film commitments. With Jana Sena attaining recognised party status, Pawan might build the organisation from now onwards.
