Yash Raj Films is likely to take legal action against the makers of Telugu flick Jabardasth for freemaking their Bollywood hit 'Band Baaja Baaraat'.
Hero Nani confirmed that the official remake of 'Band Baaja Baaraat' in both Telugu and Tamil is still on and Yash Raj Films is planning to take the legal route to deal with director Nandini Reddy and producer Bellamkonda Suresh.
However, Nandini Reddy denies copying the Hindi superhit starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh. "While making Jabardasth, we never got the feeling that it was similar to Band Baaja Baaraat. And both Sid and Sam were event managers in my film, not wedding planner alike the lead pair in BBB," clarifies the director.
Nandini Reddy points out that several Hollywood films were made with the backdrop of wedding planning, but only Band Baaja Baaraat was the only Hindi film to use such a backdrop. She openly declares her film is inspired from dozens of movies, not just one. Nandini is hopeful of winning the legal battle. Let's see who wins in the end!
