The first Assembly session of the new State of Telangana commenced from today .The session will continue till June 13.The newly-elected legislators took oath on the first day. Chief Minister K. Congress party leader and Protem Speaker K Jana Reddy administered the oath to the members. Speaker's election is slated to be held on June 10, while the Governor E S L Narasimhan would address the Assembly the next day.
While speaking on the house The Chief Minister said all the assurances made in the party's pre-election manifesto would be implemented. "I will keep my word and the manifesto will be implemented 100 per cent,"
