Finally the government of Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to fulfill their key election promise.The AP government has prepared the complete list of farmers who have been chosen eligible for the loan waiver. As per the sources 85% data of eligible farmers has been sent to planning department .the data will be later sent to Bankers and the money will be credited into farmer’s bank accounts.
Total 62 Lakh families are going to be benefited under the scheme and as part of first phase 20% of amount will be deposited into the bank accounts of beneficiaries. Loan waiver scheme is one of the key poll promise made by TDP government and Chandrababu is working hard to implement the promise despite many troubles.
It may be recalled that the Chandrababu Naidu government had promised to waive all crop loans up to Rs 1.50 lakh amounting to an estimated Rs 40,000 crore, but given the precarious financial situation of the AP state government due to bifurcation of the state, it has not been able to fulfil its promise even after four months of staying in power.
