Following the footsteps of Union Minister Chiranjeevi, Congress senior minister Vatti Vasantha Kumar said he is open to submit his resignation if all of his attempts to persuade the Congress leadership to withdraw the statement issued on the bifurcation of the state fails.
Addressing the agitators who demanded his resignation, Vatti claimed MLAs and MPs were delaying the resignation with the only intention to oppose the Telangana bill in Assembly and Parliament. He warned that if everyone resigns, there is a possibility of President's Rule.
Vatti appealed to his fellow MLAs to stay united and ensure Telangana resolution fails in Assembly. He opined the Bill willn't be passed in Parliament as Samajwadi Party headed by Mulayam Singh and AIADMK headed by Jayalalitha would surely vote against it. He even expressed confidence that Telangana willn't be a reality as the majority opinion matters in Democracy.
