In a most tragic incident Former naxal and TRS leader Konapuri Ramulu was shot dead by some unidentified men at a function hall in Miryalguda on Sunday. The incident was happened when Ramulu went to Function Hall to attend the marriage of daughter of his friend and New Democracy leader Pravathulu.
While he was returning, some unidentified men over-powered his gunmen and sprinkled chilli powder in the eyes of Ramulu. He was shot from the point-blank range at the head and chest leading to his instantaneous death.
Ramulu was vice president of the TRS Nalgonda district unit and hailed from Dasireddygudem of Valigonda mandal.He was the brother of surrendered Maoist leader Sambasivudu who was murdered in 2011. TRS leaders said Ramulu had escaped earlier attempts on his life.
Ramulu had even told KCR about his threat and urged him to provide additional security after forming government but nothing was helped him.
It is widely suspected that Nayeem gang was behind this brutal murder. Nayeem gang was earlier involved in the murder of Sambasivudu as well.TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao strongly condemned Ramulu's killing and demanded stern action against the guilty.
