New Governors to four states, Special recognition to Telangana

Many congress governors is in resignation row in Modi government, soon after coming to power, had issued a controversial directive asking the UPA-appointed governors to quit. Many of them accepted for this except few of them.  Recently Cabinet had dismissed Kamala ben over funds misuse allegations. Even Congress leader Delhi Ex-CM Shiela Dikshit is also planning to resign as per latest information.

Today Home Ministry and the President announced the names of new governors for four states - Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Goa. The PMO has reportedly sent a list of names to President Pranab Mukherjee few days back and it’s got to approved today. Telangana BJP leader Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao, former Union minister from Andhra Pradesh, will be Maharashtra's new governor after K. Sankaranarayanan resigned on Sunday following an abrupt transfer order to Mizoram issued in the middle of the night.

Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, current Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly and BJP Leader, appointed as next Governor of Karnataka while BJP Mridula Sinha is for Goa. Senior BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh heavyweight Kalyan Singh is for Rajasthan.On Monday, Kerala Governor Sheila Dikshit's meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh triggered speculation over her resigning from the post.
