Clearing the way for Rahul Gandhi to be Prime Ministerial candidate of UPA in the upcoming elections, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said he will be very happy to work under the leadership of party's vice-president by saying that the prince will be an ideal choice to be an ideal choice for the PM post.
Manmohan made these comments in response to the questions posed by the reporters who accompanying him on board the AIr India aircraft after attending the G20 summit in Russain City of St Petersburg. The 80-year-old was asked if he is seeing any possibility to continue the third term as PM as many of the Congress top brass leaders were expecting Rahul to lead the National party post 2014 polls.
Stating that there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics, Manmohan said party would be considering alliance with like-minded and secular parties in the coming polls.
