Actor Srihari has decided to join Congress before the next general elections. He seems to have got clear assurance from the party leadership on permitting him to contest from Kukatpally Assembly constituency in 2014 polls. It is learnt that Union Minister Chiranjeevi is behind the entry of Real Star into the National party and the changing political situation in the state post the announcement of Telangana too played a major role.
Srihari who will be celebrating his 49th birthday on August 15th will be officially announcing his decision to fray into electoral politics by contesting on Congress ticket.
Apparently, Srihari is born and brought up in Hyderabad. He is lending a helping hand to the needy through Akshara Foundation which was formed in the memory of his daughter who died young and earned a good name through his service to the society.
While addressing the media on Tuesday, Srihari told that he is looking forward to enter Congress and opined Tollywood would function in the same fashion even after the division of the state. The senior actor would be next seen in 'Toofan' as Sher khan and also making debut in Bollywood with Prabhudeva's 'Rambo Rajkumar' starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha.
