Suspended Telugu Desam party member Revanth Reddy got into a verbal duel with Assembly chief marshal and security personnel at main gate . He reportedly entered into brawl with him for preventing TDP leaders from entering into lobbies.
Revanth Reddy got furious when the security officials tried to stop him and he warned the Chief Marshal of legal action if the security officials try to violate the Assembly procedures.He even demanded the assembly security officer to show any written orders issued by speaker for disallowing the suspended members into the lobbies. The security guards replied him saying that they received oral orders.
Revanth argued that even Speaker has no right to prevent the elected legislators from entering into the Assembly lobbies. Other TDP leaders joined in the brawl and when they insisted and warned of dire consequences, the security let them into the lobbies.
Meanwhile Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Friday complained to the state governor about suspension of its legislators from the state assembly for the entire budget session. Some of the TDP leaders met Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan today and submitted a memorandum, seeking his intervention in the matter.
The leaders alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government acted in undemocratic manner by suspending them from assembly.Its known that ruling party TRS passed a motion that suspended 10 TTDP MLAs from the house. Legislative affairs minister Harish Rao moved the resolution seeking the suspension of the TDP MLAs for 1 week and speaker approved it.
