TRS Supremo KCR revealed a couple of plans that he has for the future Telangana state. For the past few months, KCR has been meeting with experts from various fields and was giving final touches to a draft blueprint for the Telangana state.
The first idea was dividing the existing 10 districts into 24 new districts and it includes division of Mahaboobnagar district to three parts. The TRS government is in the view of Dividing the district to three parts(Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool and Mahabubnagar)
However the newly government faced criticism from the opposition .Mahaboob nagar MLA and TDP mouthpiece Revanth Reddy opposed the decision and asked KCR to refrain from the decision of trifurcation
While speaking with media after making a representation to Telangana Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma here, Revanth Reddy said that the TRS Government was planning to divide Mahabubnagar for their own benefits. He said that the creation of new districts should be practical.
‘’It will be very hard for the MP to deal with three MP’S and three collectors if the district was trifurcated. The government could create 17 districts based on the boundaries of 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the region.’’Revanth said
The present Mahabubnagar district has 14 Assembly and two Lok Sabha segments and it is the big district in telangana state.
