Pritam Munde (32) who is the younger daughter of late BJP Leader Gopinath Munde created a history by winning Lok Sabha polls in Beed Constituency by a margin of around 7 lakh votes. The total votes polls for Pritam were 9 lakhs 22 thousand. She won against Congress candidate Ashok Patil by a margin of 6 lakhs 96 thousand votes.

Until Sunday, CPI Leader Anil Basu used to hold the record in Lok Sabha polls after he won by 5,92,502 votes from Arambagh constituency in West Bengal in the year 2004. The other leaders in Top 5 were PV Narasimha Rao (5.8 lakhs), Narendra Modi (5.7 lakhs), Jagan (5.21 lakhs) and Ram Vilas Paswan (5.04 lakhs).

Pritam Munde created a sensation by winning the by-poll from her father's home turf Beed Lok Sabha segment with record majority. On the other hand, Her elder sister won from Parli assembly segment with a margin of 20,000 votes.
