Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who has a strong fan base all over the World has been on news for obvious reasons. He has been convicted by the session’s court in Bombay for Hit and Run case which dates back to 2002. Later Bombay High Court had suspended the 5-year sentence of Salman in the hit-and-run case and granted him bail pending his appeal against conviction.
Salman is quite happy with the decision of high court but here comes another disappointment for the actor. Jodhpur court today rejected the revision petition of Salman Khan seeking permission to summon five witnesses in the Arms Act case against him in connection with the black buck poaching case.
Salman Khan’s counsel H M Saraswat said they were awaiting the detailed order to find out the reason behind court move.He, however, said the option of moving the high court is open.
On 17 February 2006, Salman was sentenced to one year in prison for hunting the Chinkara, an endangered species. The sentence was stayed by a higher court during appeal. The case was filed against Salman for using expired licence guns to allegedly poach black bucks in Jodhpur on October 1, 1998.
