Telengana government is facing huge drought of power. Even though, this region was given good set of power plants, coal reserves are not up to the mark to generate power. Even after completion of Summer season, power cuts continued in Telengana districts. Few farmers even fired on TRS for not giving enough power for their agricultural activities.
Considering all these aspects, KCR decided to put this issue infront of the central government. As per the reports, central government looked at this aspect as high priority aspect and the government has now decided to allocate 1320 Crores to develop special solar plants in Telengana for power generation.
This doesn’t need coal reserves and is highly efficient. Considering the future of Telengana, government came up with this proposal for the state. In the coming days, Telengana will have few more solar plants apart from this 1320 Crores project. If everything goes well, we may see less power cuts in Telengana in coming days.
