Suriya told “It is a fact that women safety is one of the major issues we are facing currently. In spite of taking so many measures, as a society, we are not able to stop the rapists. Women should be more careful to avoid such issues. I have a daughter. I get scared whenever I think of her future.”
Malini 22 is a film based on female harassment. Nitya Menen is playing a girl who gets raped. Surya spoke about the safety of girls for a long time.
