T-bill tabled in Assembly, CM not attended

The pre-climax stage has been reached in the bifurcation game and the draft Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill-2013 is caught in a tug-of-war in the state Legislative Assembly between legislators on either side of the regional divide.

The draft bill has been tabled in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on Monday at 10 am and it was read by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly incharge Sitaram amidst protests.

While MLAs from Telangana region insisted that the draft Bill be tabled in the House forthwith, those from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema opposed it.

  Soon, all the MLAs stormed the Speaker's podium holding placards for and against the proposed bifurcation of the state. Speaker Nadendla Manohar having  tough time in balancing both sides

As the slogan-shouting legislators remained in the Well of the House, Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the proceedings for another half-an-hour .On a surprise note Chief Minister Kiran Kumar reddy skipped the Assembly today
